BULAND RECEIVES UNO ALUMNI AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN MANAGEMENT

 

 

OMAHA, NE. - The University of Nebraska Omaha, Department of Marketing and Management, honored Larry Buland, President of Buland Group with its 2008 Alumni Award for Excellence in Management. The award was made at the UNO Honors and Awards Banquet held on April 3, 2008 at the Thompson Alumni Center.

 

The citation stated; "Larry Buland continues to enjoy an elaborate, illustrious and entrepreneurial career. He commenced his education at UNO as a Criminal Justice major.

However, when presented with an opportunity to become a state trooper, he left school early. He has since worked in the corporate world and started many different business ventures before earning his bachelor's degree at UNO in 1999 and his MBA in 2004. It was during this period that he joined the John Luce Company, a general contracting company, moving his way up from Business Manager to President and Partner until eventually buying the company in 2003. Building and construction contracts for The Buland Group have increased six-fold under Larry Buland's leadership."
