PRESENTED CORPORATION OF THE YEAR 2007 AWARD BY CATHOLIC CHARITIES, ARCHDIOCESE
OF OKLAHOMA CITY
OMAHA, NE. -At its Annual Meeting and Recognition Ceremony
held on Feb. 18, 2008 in Edmund, Oklahoma, Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of
Oklahoma City, honored The Buland Group as its Corporation of the Year. The
award recognizes a corporation or organization that has contributed material,
financial or human resources to promote the mission of Catholic Charities.
The award read;
"The Buland Group of Omaha, Nebraska has worked with Catholic Charities and
Mercy Housing Services during the past two years to plan and construct the
renovation of Columbia Square Apartments in Lawton, Oklahoma. These apartments
serve 64 low-income families and meet a critical need for housing in the
community. The Buland Group has taken great measures to ensure the highest
quality of construction so that the children and families living at Columbia
Square have a safe, clean and energy
efficient home. They have consistently demonstrated care and
concern for our residents by attention to detail in the construction process.
They have worked to assure that each apartment is as well finished as possible.
They have never taken a short cut for their convenience and have displayed an
attention to quality that one might find in the construction of a $1 million
home."
The award was
presented by the Most Reverend Eusebius J. Beltran, Archbishop, Archdiocese of
Oklahoma City and Timothy O'Connor, Executive Director of Catholic Charities.
The Buland
Group is an Omaha, NE. based general contractor doing business in Nebraska,
Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma, specializing in commercial, apartment and
senior housing construction projects.
